Lawton, OK Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Section 23-6-601(A) lists thirteen specific places where a vehicle cannot stop, stand, or park unless it is avoiding a traffic conflict or following an officer's or signal's direction: sidewalks, in front of public or private driveways, inside intersections, within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant, on crosswalks, within forty-five feet of an intersection, within forty-five feet of a flashing beacon or traffic signal, between a safety zone and the curb, within fifty feet of a railroad crossing, alongside street excavations that would obstruct traffic, on the roadway side of an already-parked vehicle (double parking), on bridges or in underpasses, and anywhere signs specifically prohibit it; a 2019 amendment added a fourteenth ban within forty-five feet of a posted fire station driveway.
