Full Breakdown

Under Chapter 29, Article V, vehicles must park parallel and within 12 inches of the right-hand curb (Sec. 29-357) and cannot stop within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, within 4 feet of a driveway or alley, within 20 feet of a crosswalk, or within 30 feet of a stop sign or signal (Sec. 29-354). Parking must leave at least 10 feet of roadway clear for traffic (Sec. 29-363). The City Traffic Engineer posts two-hour and no-parking zones; those restrictions apply only where signs are erected. Parking a vehicle on the street to display it for sale or to make repairs is prohibited (Sec. 29-362).

Illegal street parking is a non-moving violation, and the vehicle owner is liable. Fines are set by the municipal court, and obstructing vehicles may be towed under Sec. 29-60.
