Town Code Title 7 prohibits parking within 15 ft of hydrants and 20 ft of crosswalks. Vehicles must leave 20 ft of travel lane. No metered parking. 72-hour limit in one spot.
Oro Valley Town Code Title 7 and the traffic code govern on-street parking. Standard restrictions prohibit parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, 20 feet of an intersection or crosswalk, in front of a driveway, or on any street where parked vehicles would reduce the travel lane to less than 20 feet. Parking on the wrong side of the street (facing oncoming traffic) is prohibited. Many residential streets in the foothills communities of Oro Valley are narrow two-lane roads without curbs or dedicated parking lanes, effectively limiting on-street parking. No-parking zones are posted with signs along major corridors including Oracle Road, Tangerine Road, and La Canada Drive. Time-limited parking may be posted in commercial areas near shopping centers. The town does not operate metered parking. During special events at Steam Pump Ranch or Naranja Park, temporary no-parking restrictions may be posted. Overnight parking on residential streets is generally allowed but subject to the 72-hour limitation for any single vehicle remaining in the same location.
Parking violation: civil citation with fine. Vehicles blocking fire hydrants, driveways, or travel lanes may be towed immediately. Vehicles stationary for more than 72 hours may be tagged and towed as abandoned.
