Camarillo, CA Public Conduct: Outdoor Smoking Restrictions (2026)

020 prohibits smoking in a specific list of enclosed and unenclosed areas: public places, dining areas, recreation areas, service areas, private residences used as licensed family day care or residential care homes, the sites of permitted public events (from 60 minutes before to 60 minutes after), multi-unit residence common areas other than parking lots, and any sidewalks the city council designates by resolution. Subsection B separately bans smoking in all enclosed and unenclosed places of employment. 010(T) to include lighted pipes, hookahs, cigars, cigarettes, and operating electronic smoking devices.

010(M) as 25 feet, of any entrance, window, or vent into a covered enclosed area, and within that same 25-foot buffer of any unenclosed area where smoking is already prohibited, except while actively passing through. 030, including private residences not used as care homes, dedicated retail smoking product stores and lounges in freestanding buildings, most parking lots, most streets and sidewalks (unless posted no-smoking), up to 20 percent of hotel and motel guest rooms if the rest are permanently non-smoking, and small enclosed single-owner workplaces closed to the public. 5 and Government Code Section 7597 at every entrance to a covered enclosed area.
