Eastvale, CA Public Conduct: Skateboarding Rules (2026)

020(a) makes it unlawful to ride a skateboard, rollerblades, or similar wheeled device on public property the city council has designated by resolution and posted as a no-skateboarding area. 030 gives the council authority to designate any public roadway, sidewalk, or other public property this way, along with the hours the ban applies, after review and recommendation from city staff. 040 requires signs at least 17 inches by 22 inches with lettering at least one inch tall, posted at every entrance to the designated area, reading substantially: 'Skateboarding, rollerblading or similar activity, is prohibited by this Code.

020(b) lets a private property owner in a business district (as defined in Vehicle Code Section 235) bar skateboarding on the property, including its sidewalks, parking lots, and alleys, by posting a sign in plain view referencing the chapter; the property owner is responsible for posting and maintaining that sign. 020(c) bans skateboarding anywhere in the city, even outside designated zones, if it creates a 'nuisance,' defined as riding that threatens injury to a person or property, obstructs or hazards pedestrians or motorists, or generates loud or unreasonable noise. 050 exempts devices used to transport infants, handicapped persons, or merchandise, and the council may suspend enforcement for special events at an organizer's request.
