Section 5.22.080 of the Rocklin Municipal Code sets the performance standards every short-term rental permit must follow, and subsection F addresses parking directly: all parking tied to the rental must be onsite or on the street in front of the subject parcel, and only where on-street parking is otherwise allowed, in full compliance with the rest of the city code. The same section caps occupancy at six lodgers, or two per bedroom if that is greater, under subsection A, which limits how many vehicles a rental can realistically accommodate before it runs into subsection F's onsite requirement.

If a rental repeatedly generates parking complaints, the director of community development can respond under Section 5.22.090(C)(4), which lists limiting the number of vehicles that may park at the short-term rental among the conditions the city may add to a permit. Permittees must also be reachable and able to be onsite within thirty minutes of a complaint under Section 5.22.080(E), which covers the kind of neighbor calls that a parking overflow typically triggers. A permittee who lets guest parking spill onto neighboring streets in violation of the on-street parking rules in this section risks the same suspension, revocation, or added-condition process the city applies to any other Section 5.22.080 violation, and any resulting public nuisance can be charged separately under Section 5.22.130.
