Inglewood, CA Sign Regulations: Digital Billboards (2026)

Any billboard sign in Inglewood that changes light intensity, color, or motion, whether by rotating, flashing, oscillating, or shuttering, meets the Municipal Code's definition of a "digital sign" or "tri-vision sign" (Section 12-69). Digital and tri-vision billboards are treated as a category of billboard sign under Article 23 and require a Special Use Permit from the Planning Commission before installation, relocation, or enlargement (Section 12-76(D)(4); Section 12-80(B)(1)).
