Eagle Mountain, UT Sign Regulations: Window Signs (2026)

Eagle Mountain's sign code lists window signs among the permit-exempt categories in EMMC 17.80.120. Because the exemption sits in the same subsection list as other permit-free signage such as nameplate signs (two square feet) and property signs (nine square feet), Eagle Mountain treats window displays as a distinct, lighter category with no stated square-footage ceiling of its own, so long as the promotional purpose and general provisions are met.

A window sign that strays outside those bounds, becoming a permanent fixture or violating a general provision such as illumination limits, loses the exemption and is treated as a nonconforming or illegal sign subject to the enforcement procedures in EMMC 17.80.150.
