Scottsdale, AZ Special Events & Permits: Park Event Permits (2026)

Section 20-33 requires a permit from the city to reserve the use of any park facility. Permit holders and everyone using the facility under the permit must comply with Article III of Chapter 20 and any additional rules and regulations the general manager promulgates under Sec. 20-52. The permit itself must describe the facility or area to be used, state any maximum capacity, and list additional conditions reasonably necessary to assure safe use. Applicants must also meet insurance and indemnification requirements set by the city's risk manager, agree to defend the city against claims arising from the permitted activity, and name the city as an additional insured with primary coverage.

Beer and wine consumption at a reserved facility requires a separate one-day permit under Sec. 20-34, issued only after the requestor supplies name, address, phone number, date of birth and headcount, and pays the council-approved fee; that permit is void wherever beer or wine is otherwise prohibited in the park. The general manager or any Scottsdale police officer may revoke a facility permit for violating its terms or any law, at which point the holder must stop the activity immediately and forfeits any fees paid, and revocation also voids every other permit the same permittee holds for that facility or use.
