Dade City Code of Ordinances § 74-32 fixes exactly where a garbage can may sit while it waits for pickup: not less than five feet nor more than ten feet from the curbline, street, or sidewalk fronting the property that generated the trash, and never on a neighbor's land, vacant or improved, or on city property. The can has to be kept in one place that inspectors and city crews can reach easily except while it is actually being wheeled to or from the curb.
