Goodyear requires trash and recycling bins to be placed curbside by 6 AM on collection day, spaced 3 feet apart, with lids closed and handles facing the street. Bins must be retrieved by end of collection day and stored out of public view between pickups. Bins should be 3 feet from mailboxes, vehicles, and other obstacles.
Under Goodyear's solid waste collection requirements, residents must place trash and recycling containers at the curb no earlier than the evening before collection and no later than 6:00 AM on collection day. Bins must be positioned with lids closed, handles facing the street, and spaced at least 3 feet from each other and 3 feet from any obstacles including mailboxes, parked cars, utility poles, and fire hydrants. Bins must not block sidewalks, driveways, or ADA ramps. After collection, bins must be removed from the curb and stored in a location not visible from the street, typically in the side yard or garage. Many Goodyear HOAs have specific bin storage requirements in their CC&Rs. Overloaded bins with lids that cannot close may not be serviced.
Leaving bins at the curb beyond collection day or storing bins in public view between pickups may result in Code Compliance notices. Blocking sidewalks or ADA ramps with bins is a code violation. Code Compliance at (623) 932-3200 enforces bin storage requirements. HOAs may also issue separate violations for improper bin storage under CC&R provisions.
