Section 18-53 of the Glendale solid waste chapter governs container service location for residential properties. the following day. Containers cannot be placed within ten feet of a parked vehicle, mailbox, or other obstruction, and are barred from arterial streets entirely, where the Administrator instead designates an alternate curb or property location. When street placement isn't possible, containers go on the driveway next to the sidewalk unless the Administrator directs otherwise. Refuse and recycling containers set out for service must sit at least three feet apart to allow proper mechanical pickup, and lids must be completely closed. The Administrator determines the size, number, and exact placement location of containers issued to each residential property under Section 18-32.
