Goodyear provides weekly curbside recycling collection through Waste Connections of Arizona on the same day as regular trash. Recycling is single-stream β all recyclables go in one bin. Accepted materials include paper, cardboard, plastics #1-5 and #7, glass, and aluminum. Contaminated loads may be rejected and sent to landfill.
Goodyear's recycling program operates as single-stream collection through Waste Connections of Arizona. Accepted materials include clean paper and cardboard, aluminum and steel cans, glass bottles and jars, and plastics #1-5 and #7. All recyclables go into the blue recycling container. Materials must be clean, dry, and loose (not bagged). Contamination β including food waste, plastic bags, styrofoam, and non-recyclable plastics β can cause entire loads to be rejected and landfilled. The recycling bin is collected weekly on the same day as trash. Goodyear encourages recycling through education materials and the Waste Wizard tool at goodyearaz.gov/trash. Green waste (yard trimmings) is collected in a separate container and composted at commercial facilities.
Repeated contamination of recycling containers may result in service warnings from Waste Connections. Severely contaminated bins may be tagged and left uncollected. Residents who consistently contaminate recycling may have their recycling service suspended. Contact Waste Connections or the Public Works Department for recycling questions.
