Summary
Every occupied property in Edmond must sign up for the city's trash service, and pickup frequency and the schedule itself are set separately by City Council resolution.
it shall be the duty of every person occupying or having control of the occupancy of any premises within the City of Edmond to notify the City's Utility Customer Service Division of the beginning of such occupancy and to request, accept and use the City's refuse collection service. This expressly includes apartment dwellers and garbage only customers. The failure of any owner, rental agent or occupant of such premises to make such request shall not prevent or in any way impair or impede the Solid Waste Department from adding the address of such premises to the proper collection route records and providing such service and otherwise enforcing, the regulations approved by the City Council, and causing the fees or charges to be paid.
Any person who violates, neglects or refuses to comply with any regulation, requirement or provision of this section or any other regulation of the City Manager duly promulgated hereunder shall be deemed guilty of a Class "B" offense.
