Section 10-24(a)(6) gives every residential dwelling unit in Boynton Beach weekly curbside recycling, with the City supplying two bins or carts: one for co-mingled plastic containers, glass, and aluminum, the other for newspaper, magazines, glossy paper, office-grade paper, and corrugated cardboard. Section 10-23 defines the fuller list of eligible recyclable materials to include milk and juice cartons, aseptic containers, mixed paper, tin and ferrous cans, and household dry-cell batteries, and states that recycled material is collected on a scheduled, routine basis from each residential unit.

Multifamily developments get a parallel program under Section 10-25(a)(5): the City places at least two recycling carts adjacent to the site's dumpsters at no extra charge beyond the standard garbage collection fee, services them at least once a week, and prohibits putting garbage, yard trash, or any non-recyclable material into them. Once a resident sets recycling out at the curb, ownership passes to the City immediately under Section 10-27(f)(2), and it is a violation of Chapter 10 for any person or company other than the City to tamper with, remove, or convert that material to their own use, with every improper collection from a residence or business counted as a separate offense.
