Deerfield Beach, FL Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

Sec. 58-70(a) caps bulk yard and vegetative waste at an area four feet wide by eight feet long by six feet high, or seven cubic yards, and requires it be stacked in compact piles at curbside or in the swale within the resident's own side property lines. Sec. 58-70(b) limits residents to one such load per week. Sec. 70(c) bars placing the waste within ten feet of any utility pole, guy wire, mailbox, low wire, tree, storm drain or fire hydrant. Sec. on collection day and never set out more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, and bars mixing recyclable materials in with the yard waste pile.

Sec. 58-34 separately requires paid tree trimmers, landscape contractors and lawn maintenance services to remove all trash, limbs, roots, shrubbery and grass clippings from a job site themselves rather than leaving it at the curb; it also bars leaving grass clippings on the paved street and prohibits putting bulky yard or vegetative waste in refuse containers. Sec. 58-70(g) allows small handfuls of yard waste that fit inside the resident's roll-out cart to go in the cart instead of on the ground.
