Garland County, AR Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

Under the county's 2011 solid waste and recycling fee schedule, Garland County Code § 54-49, Exhibit A, lists 'Yard Waste (lawn, brush, < 4" wood)' as not accepted through the curbside collection service that residents pay for through their monthly cart fee. The same schedule allows yard waste to be dropped off at the landfill or transfer station ('7N & 70W TS' or 'Landfill & TS') at no charge, so residents who want county disposal of grass clippings, brush and wood under four inches must haul it in themselves rather than set it at the curb.

Servicing of any recyclable or yard material is further subject to scheduling, space, manageability and economics under the same Exhibit A. As an alternative, the county's burn ban ordinance, Chapter 25, Article II, treats yard waste as one of the products allowed to be burned. Section 25-32 lists 'burning only those products allowable by law (yard waste)' among the necessary and proper precautions for permissible open burning, and during a declared burn ban a written permit from the county judge or fire service coordinator is required before any burning, including yard waste, may take place. § 27-73-301 by reference alongside its own burn ban terms.
