Titusville, FL Trash & Recycling: Yard Waste Collection (2026)

Section 16-63 of the Titusville Code of Ordinances, 'Special pickup,' governs bulky yard waste and large debris that residential rubbish containers can't hold. Bulky items such as furniture, household appliances, tree stumps and large tree limbs, excluding Christmas trees, are picked up at curbside, with the same size cap used elsewhere in the chapter of no more than twenty-four inches in diameter or four feet in length for limbs. The city's yard waste collection vehicles hold approximately twenty cubic yards loose, and anything a resident sets out beyond that capacity becomes the owner's responsibility to dispose of; if the owner instead wants the city to haul the excess, the fee is based on the city's current burdened labor rate plus reasonable hourly equipment charges rather than a flat rate.

The city manager can suspend these special-pickup fees after a hurricane or similar natural disaster. 00 per collection, with amounts over twenty cubic yards billed under Article III's rate schedule. Unpaid special-pickup fees on an undeveloped property become a lien against that property. This applies to residential land within Titusville, Brevard County, not to Brevard County's unincorporated yard-waste program.
