Sahuarita, AZ Animal Ordinances: Dog Leash Laws (2026)

The Sahuarita Town Code requires that all dogs be under the control of their owner at all times. When off the owner property, dogs must be restrained on a leash of reasonable length, typically 6 feet or less. Dogs left in unfenced yards or allowed to roam the neighborhood constitute at-large violations. Pima County Animal Care Center, which provides animal control services for Sahuarita, can impound at-large dogs and charge the owner for boarding and retrieval fees.
