Parker, CO Animal Ordinances: Pet Limits (2026)

Section 9.05.010 permits household pets, including but not limited to dogs and cats, in all residential districts, but caps the count at not more than four animals older than six months kept or harbored by the property owner or occupant of any residential unit. The same sentence flatly excludes kennels, boarding facilities or commercial activities from residential property, so a resident cannot use the four-pet allowance to run a for-profit boarding or breeding operation out of the home. The limit sits in Chapter 9.05, Animal-Keeping Restrictions, alongside the Section 9.05.020 rule against separating pups from their mother before eight weeks and against more than one litter per residential dog per year, and the Section 9.05.030 list of wild and exotic species that cannot be kept at all regardless of the four-pet count. The provision dates to Ordinance 5.06.33 of 2005 and has not been amended since.
