Chapter 17's Article 4 use-specific standards layer on top of whatever zoning district otherwise permits a veterinary clinic, and the Village groups the use under its Animal Care category alongside animal grooming, indoor and outdoor kennels, and equine stables. For a veterinary clinic specifically, § 17-4-300(E)(2)(e) sets three conditions: no more than twenty boarded animals at any time (fish, small reptiles, and rodents kept as pets don't count), no kennels outside the principal building, and enough insulation that no unreasonable noise or odor reaches off the property.

That kennel rule is stricter than the freestanding outdoor kennel use classification a few lines earlier in the same section, which the Village allows if buildings and runs sit at least seventy-five feet from any lot line; a vet clinic gets no outdoor option at all. There's also no numeric decibel figure here, unlike the Village's car wash and auto-detailing standard elsewhere in the same article, which sets a hard sixty-decibel cap; a veterinary clinic instead faces a performance standard that the Village applies case by case during site plan review and any later nuisance complaint.

Compliance is checked at site plan approval under Article 2 before a clinic opens, and ongoing enforcement runs through Chapter 17's Article 9 enforcement clause.
