Casper's zoning code lets homeowners run a home occupation as a permitted accessory use in any residential district, but Casper Municipal Code § 17.12.140(A)(3) draws a specific line against certain uses regardless of how small they are: "A home occupation shall not be interpreted to include, but not limited to, the following: veterinary uses including boarding of animals, nursing home, ambulance service, body repair and painting, restaurants which do not include bed and breakfast, and taverns." Body repair and painting, the language covering auto body work, is named outright, so a resident cannot register a car or truck body-and-paint shop out of a house or garage as a home occupation no matter how the space is used inside the dwelling.
