Chapter 53's Exhibit A use table, adopted under Section 53-1230, assigns SIC code 8121-9903 ("Tattoo parlor") to the RS, W and CM zoning columns, the same three-district pattern the table uses for dozens of retail and personal-service businesses such as barber and beauty supply stores, taxidermists and appliance repair shops. RS stands for retail services, W for warehouse and CM for construction/manufacturing, districts also used for alcohol sales and other service uses under this chapter. Planning and Community Development reviews the zoning compliance and issues the certificate of occupancy before a tattoo business may open.
