Skateboarding Rules
Alameda Municipal Code Sec. 8-26.1 makes it unlawful to ride a skateboard, roller skates, coaster or similar toy vehicle on any roadway or sidewalk in a business district, or on property, buildings or structures the City owns or leases. A companion rule, Sec. 23-1.3, separately bars skateboarding in parks, playgrounds and on school property citywide.
