Parkway Planting
In unincorporated Franklin County, the Unified Development Code requires subdividers to plant street trees along both sides of every public and private right-of-way in new residential subdivisions. Trees go in the front setback, 5 to 15 feet from the property line, sized under a canopy/understory formula, and Crepe Myrtles and Bradford Pears cannot be used to meet the requirement.
