Solicitor Permits

Anyone who solicits, peddles or canvasses on Volusia's Atlantic beach or its approaches needs a commercial solicitation permit from the beach department under Code § 20-290. Individual permits run $100 a year and require a criminal background check; a master permit covering up to 20 solicitors costs $2,500 to $10,000, and solicitation is limited to 8 a.m.–7 p.m.
