City Code Article 8 of Chapter 3 (adopted by Ord. 06-86, amended by Ord. 201 to discharge or cause the discharge of anything but stormwater into the MS4, the network of roads, curbs, gutters, ditches and storm drains the City owns or operates, or to store, handle or apply a pollutant in a way that lets it be exposed to rainfall and carried into the system. 203 covers throwing, depositing, washing or rinsing pollutants onto any public or private property, driveway, street or sidewalk where they could reach the MS4.

201(B): firefighting flows, landscape irrigation, individual residential car washing, residential pool and hot tub discharges, foundation and footing drains, air conditioning condensation, and street washing performed by or for the City, provided the City has not determined the source is a significant contributor of pollutants. 501, which can require elimination of illicit connections, cease-and-desist of a discharge, remediation of contaminated property, or payment of a fine covering administrative and remediation costs; a recipient has ten City business days to appeal to the Director of Public Works, and a further ten days to appeal that decision to the Mayor.
