The chapter's Fire Marshal is the Riverside County Fire Marshal, and its Police Chief is the Chief of Police of the City of Beaumont. A public display needs a permit application to the Fire Marshal and the Police Chief not fewer than 14 days before the display, with a diagram showing the discharge point, buildings, highways, audience lines and nearby trees and overhead lines.
The display must run under a pyrotechnic operator, and the permittee must furnish a bond or certificate of insurance in an amount the two officials deem adequate (Section 9.41.030).
