The code draws a clear line for mobile temporary food service vendors, food trucks, describing them as vehicle-mounted and readily moveable, and then states plainly that no permit shall be required from the City of Moore to operate one within the corporate city limits. That said, operating still depends on several other conditions in the same section: the vendor must have the property owner's permission before setting up on any site, may only take a stationary temporary spot in a C-2 through I-3 zoning district outside city-sanctioned events, must park on an approved sealed surface, and is limited to 12 hours at a single location in any 24-hour period.

Health and safety documentation is mandatory even without a city permit: every food truck must display a valid Oklahoma State Department of Health license, a State Fire Marshal Permit decal, and an LP Gas Permit decal if it uses propane, and each truck must carry a class ABC fire extinguisher, adding a class K extinguisher if it has a fire suppression system or produces grease vapors.
