Moore, OK Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Under Sec 15-601, no one may stop, stand or park a vehicle on a sidewalk, in front of a public or private driveway, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, within an intersection or crosswalk, within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, within 30 feet of a flashing beacon, stop sign or signal, within 50 feet of a railroad crossing, or within 20 feet of a fire station driveway (75 feet on the opposite side when posted). Vehicles may not be left on the roadway side of another parked vehicle, on bridges or in underpasses, or wherever signs prohibit stopping.

Sec 15-603 separately makes it unlawful to park within a street or alley so as to block the free movement of traffic or block a driveway entrance to abutting property, and bars parking that obstructs the view of a flashing beacon, stop sign or signal. Sec 15-607 addresses the wrong side of the road: on a one-way roadway, standing or parking on the left-hand side is unlawful unless signs or markings specifically permit it, and the city manager decides where that exception applies. Sec 15-621 requires vehicles to park parallel and within 18 inches of the curb, right-hand wheels to the right curb (left-hand wheels to the left curb on one-way streets), reinforcing the same-direction rule.

Moore Police Department officers enforce these sections under Sec 15-1801's authority over street traffic regulations, and violations are cited under the city's bond schedule, which lists 'Parking Improperly' under Sec 15-601 at a $40 bond and 'Obstructing Traffic' under Sec 15-603 at $109/$266. Absent a specific bond amount, Sec 1-108's general penalty of up to $500 applies.
