Moore, OK Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

The section covers any lot occupied by a dwelling or lying in a residential district. It permits no more than one commercial vehicle of 1½ tons rated capacity or less per family, and separately caps camping or travel trailers, hauling trailers, recreational vehicles and vessels at one per family living on the premises. None of these may be parked on the public street, utility area or highway. If the unit sits behind the front yard building line there is no time limit stated for that location, but if it cannot fit there and is instead parked in front of the building line, it may stay only if it creates no traffic hazard and, in either location, only for up to 48 hours unless it is positioned behind the front yard line.

Wherever parked, the RV, trailer or vessel must rest on a sealed surface meeting the paving standard of Section 8-416, the same pad-or-slab rule that governs ordinary vehicle parking. A camping trailer or RV cannot be lived in, even temporarily, anywhere inside the city limits except in a licensed mobile home park. Mobile homes themselves may only be parked or stored in a conforming mobile home park. A narrow exception lets a travel trailer or manufactured home be used as living quarters for a CLEET-certified security officer or guard stationed on the property, but only after the community development department issues an occupancy permit.
