On private property, LEMC § 5.33.080 confines mobile food trucks to Commercial and Manufacturing Zoning Districts and requires a minimum of two dedicated off-street parking spaces, separate refuse and recycling containers on site, litter collection within a 100-foot radius before closing, no overnight parking of the truck, and a maximum 200-square-foot uncovered seating area that must be removed daily and cannot obstruct pedestrian or vehicular traffic. On the public right-of-way, § 5.33.090 permits trucks only in legal parking spaces adjacent to Commercial and Manufacturing districts, or at active construction sites, and requires the truck to park directly adjacent to a paved sidewalk with service limited to the sidewalk-facing side, full compliance with posted parking time limits, no obstruction of pedestrian or vehicular traffic, and no encroachment onto the sidewalk beyond required refuse receptacles while maintaining a clear four-foot pedestrian walkway.

Trucks operating curbside also cannot reduce sight distance at any cross street, crosswalk or driveway. General operating rules layered on top under § 5.33.070 bar operation within 250 feet of another off-street food truck event absent consent and require the same 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. hours citywide.
