Under SMMC Β§4.12.060, noise from radios, TVs, musical instruments, and amplified sound systems must not exceed the allowable decibel limits for the noise zone. In Noise Zone I (residential), the daytime limit is 55 dBA and nighttime is 50 dBA. Section 4.12.025 makes it a violation for any person to create any noise or sound which unreasonably disturbs the peace and quiet of another.
