Casa Grande, AZ Noise Ordinances: Construction Hours (2026)

Section 9.24.040(B) of the Casa Grande Municipal Code sets seasonal construction hours for work on buildings, structures or projects, or operation of pile drivers, power shovels, pneumatic hammers, derricks or power hoists. From April 15 to October 15, construction within five hundred feet of a residential property zone may not begin before 5:00 a.m. and must stop by 9:00 p.m.; from October 16 to April 14, the same work may only run between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Construction in commercial or industrial zones outside the 500-foot residential buffer may not begin before 5:00 a.m. or continue past 9:00 p.m. regardless of season.

On Saturdays work may not begin before 6:00 a.m., and on Sundays or state or federal holidays not before 7:00 a.m., though concrete may be poured one hour before the otherwise-scheduled start time. Section 9.24.040(C) allows the city manager or designee to grant a permit for different hours after weighing factors such as neighborhood disturbance, traffic impact, economic hardship and public interest; permits must be kept on site and are subject to revocation under subsection D on evidence of significant disturbance. No permit is required for emergency work to prevent or alleviate physical trauma or property damage. The city may issue a written stop-work order under subsection E for work conducted in violation of the section.
