250 prohibits parking or storing a commercial vehicle on a residentially zoned lot except in five listed situations. 010, may be parked on any residentially zoned lot, one per lot (subsection (1)). 0 or a suburban estates (SE) zone, one commercial vehicle is allowed regardless of its GVWR (subsection (2)). Any residential lot may host a commercial vehicle for up to 48 hours solely to load or unload it (subsection (3)), and a commercial vehicle tied to an active construction permit on the property may park there for the length of the project (subsection (4)).
A small private-use commercial vehicle, no taller than nine feet and no longer than 22 feet, is also allowed if it is kept out of the driveway and out of view from the right-of-way or an access easement (subsection (5)). Outside the loading and active-construction-permit exceptions, the ordinance caps every residential lot at one commercial vehicle. 250 was adopted by Ordinance No. 09-607, April 7, 2009, amending the 2004 original, and carries forward as Code 2001 section 22-1176. 020, which limits street parking of wide commercial vehicles to active delivery or job-support use.
