The ban only applies to specific streets posted by the Maricopa County Department of Transportation after Board of Supervisors approval: residents must petition MCDOT to have their street posted. Exceptions cover active loading/unloading and utility, transportation, or construction work. The Sheriff's Office enforces posted restrictions, and each day a violation continues counts as a separate offense.
