Glendale, AZ Parking Rules: Commercial & Oversized Vehicles (2026)

City Code § 24-68(e)(7) prohibits storing commercial vehicles on residential property and instead limits parking there by classification defined in § 24-3(h). The total allowable number of commercial vehicles parked on a residential property is capped at two, following per-class limits: Class 1 is limited to two per residential property, Class 2 is limited to two per residential property, and Class 3 is limited to two heavy-duty pickup trucks up to 19,500 pounds GVWR, with all other Class 3 commercial vehicles not permitted at all.

Classes 4 through 8 are prohibited from residential properties entirely, except as allowed under Arizona Revised Statutes § 33-1809 covering public service and public safety emergency vehicles. Subsection (e)(7)(b) carves out an exception for delivery or temporary loading and unloading of goods and materials tied to a permitted use, which is not counted against the cap. Separately, § 24-68(e)(6) bans parking or storing any personal vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating over 19,500 pounds outright, except inside a permitted enclosed garage, and § 24-68(e)(9) bars parking or storing construction equipment such as dump trucks, flatbed hauling trailers, cement mixers and ditch diggers in a residential district except while active on-site construction is underway.
