Bloomfield, NJ Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Loading zones in Bloomfield Township exist only where the Township Council has listed them. Section 254-24 of the Bloomfield Township Code designates as loading zones the locations described in Schedule XX (§ 254-60), and the schedule is where the hours are found. The section itself is a single sentence with no definition of a loading zone, no time limit for a delivery and no commercial-vehicle test, so the schedule entry for a street is the working rule.

Schedule XX is a table with four columns: Name of Street, Hours/Days, Side and Location. The location column measures each zone from a curbline. Austin Place has a west-side zone from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday through Saturday, starting 227 feet south of the southerly curbline of Liberty Street and running 60 feet south. Belleville Avenue has an east-side zone, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., starting 60 feet easterly of the curbline of Willet Street and running 38 feet. Bloomfield Avenue has a west-side zone from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday to Thursday, starting 37 feet west of Sherman Court and ending 74 feet thereafter.

Other entries run on different clocks. Broughton Avenue is every day, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., on the north side. Dodd Street is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Lackawanna Plaza is 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, on the south side. The Alva Street entry prints a dash in the hours column. The schedule heading carries amendments dated 11-5-2012 (Ord. No. 12-65) and 4-7-2014 (Ord. No. 14-12), and individual entries were added later, such as Belleville Avenue by Ord. No. 22-16 on 3-28-2022. The LaFrance Avenue entry was repealed 8-23-2021 by Ord. No. 21-37.
