Blue Hill, NE Parking Rules: Loading Zones (2026)

Blue Hill Municipal Code § 4-208 governs alley parking directly. Under subsection A, no vehicle while parked may have any portion projecting into an alley entrance, keeping alley mouths clear for through traffic. Subsection B addresses loading: a vehicle may park in an alley only for the purpose of loading or unloading, and only for the time necessary to do that, which the code caps at a maximum of five minutes. While loading or unloading, the vehicle must be positioned so as to cause the least obstruction possible to alley traffic.

Together the two subsections mean Blue Hill has no general alley parking allowance at all outside a brief, active loading stop; a driver who parks in an alley and walks away, or who lingers past five minutes, is out of compliance even if actively transferring goods when first observed.
