A vehicle found violating the section may be towed at the owner's expense, and the towing cost becomes a lien on the vehicle. Subsection D creates a seasonal exception: from April 15 through October 15 each year, overnight parking is permitted on both curbed and uncurbed streets citywide, with the specific exception of Main Street between Washington Avenue and Furnace Avenue, plus three named off-street locations open to overnight parking year-round: the city-owned lot at the northwest corner of Lenox Avenue and Cedar Street, the Kallet Parking Lot, and the Higinbotham Parking Lot.

The Kallet and Higinbotham lots run on an alternating lane schedule added by Ord. No. 08-02 and Ord. No. 10-02: at Kallet, the south lane is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and the north lane Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; at Higinbotham, the west two lanes are open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and the east two lanes Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A block that is only partially curbed is treated as an uncurbed street for that block. A former penalty subsection was repealed in 2004, so towing (not a fine) is the operative consequence for a violation of § 180-21 today.
