San Angelo has no general overnight street-parking ban. Timed parking zones are enforced only from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Sec. 10.04.001), so overnight parking is allowed except where signs prohibit it or a vehicle blocks traffic.
San Angelo does not impose a citywide overnight parking prohibition or a 72-hour street limit. Under Sec. 10.04.001, timed parking zones designated by the city manager are enforced only between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., except at Mathis Field / San Angelo Regional Airport, which stays posted at all hours. Overnight parking on public streets is therefore permitted, provided the vehicle is legally registered, does not block a driveway or fire hydrant, leaves 15 feet of roadway clear, and is not otherwise restricted by posted signs (Sec. 10.04.003). Inoperable or junked vehicles left on the street are handled as nuisances under Sec. 8.03.011.
There is no blanket overnight fine, but violating a posted restriction, blocking traffic, or leaving an inoperable vehicle can bring a $1-$200 traffic citation or nuisance towing at the owner's expense.
