Sunrise has no blanket 2-6 a.m. street-parking ban, but Sec. 14-16(a) restricts parking on streets and rights-of-way anytime unless an ordinance allows it. Overnight storage of RVs, commercial trucks, and combustible-load trucks is separately regulated.
Rather than a citywide overnight curfew, Sunrise controls overnight parking through several rules. Sec. 14-16(a) restricts parking on streets, alleys, and rights-of-way at all hours unless permitted, so leaving a car on the street overnight can draw a $75 citation. Recreational vehicles must be stored in side or rear yards, not on the street (Sec. 14-47), and prohibited commercial vehicles must be garaged out of sight (Sec. 14-31). Trucks carrying explosive or combustible material may not be parked overnight, defined as any period over 4 hours between 7:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., except in a garage or carport with no ignition source (Sec. 14-33). Many Sunrise HOAs and CDDs impose their own overnight guest-parking permit systems.
Overnight street or right-of-way parking is $75 under the Sec. 14-69 schedule; illegal RV or business-truck storage is $75 each. Vehicles may also be towed under Sec. 14-2, with a 25% administrative fee on the county towing rate.
