Chandler City Code Chapter 35, Section 35-1802 permits parking of motor homes, travel trailers, and boats on trailers in residential districts on unimproved surfaces only when located behind the required front yard setback and screened from the street by a solid six-foot wall or fence. RVs may not be parked in front yards or visible from the street without screening. Many of Chandler's master-planned communities and HOAs have additional restrictions that may be more restrictive than the city code. Block walls are dominant in Chandler subdivisions, providing natural screening for backyard RV storage. Temporary RV parking on the street may be subject to additional neighborhood-specific restrictions.
