Section 9-1-6(D) makes it unlawful to park or leave standing any recreational trailer or mobile home on a street, highway, road, alley or other right of way in Littleton for more than 48 hours. Subsection (H) defines 'recreational trailer or mobile home' as a single self-contained, motive-power-free wheeled unit built for occupancy by persons for residential purposes, whether parked temporarily or permanently, that can be towed over public highways. The code carves out a permit option in subsection (G): a Littleton resident may apply to the Department of Community Development for a special permit allowing a nonresident who is journeying in an oversized recreational vehicle, or in a recreational trailer, to park at the applicant's residence on the public right of way for up to seven days.

The permit must specify the address where the vehicle will be parked and its expiration date, and it must be prominently displayed on the vehicle itself; the section does not describe any renewal mechanism, so a stay beyond the permitted week again falls under the 48-hour rule unless a new permit issues. Ownership is established under subsection (E) by a certified copy of the state registration for the trailer or mobile home, which the code treats as prima facie evidence of both ownership and, where relevant, empty weight, along with a presumption that the registered owner is the person who parked or left it.
