Lynwood bans street parking of RVs, boats, campers and trailers longer than 22 feet, taller than 6 feet, or wider than 7 feet, except brief loading windows or a paid permit.
Lynwood Municipal Code 7-17(i) defines an 'oversize vehicle' as any house car, camper, recreational vehicle, boat or trailer that is 22 feet or more in length, 6 feet or more in height, or 7 feet or more in width. Such vehicles and any non-motorized trailer may not park on any public street, highway or alley. In residential (R-1, R-2, R-3) districts an oversize vehicle attached to a motor vehicle may park adjacent to the owner's residence up to 24 hours for loading or cleaning, and up to 72 hours total only with a paid permit. Section 7-20.22 separately bans parking any trailer, including boat trailers and mobile homes, on any street when detached from a towing vehicle.
Parking an RV, camper, boat or trailer meeting the oversize thresholds on a public street beyond the 24-hour window (or 72 hours with permit) draws a citation and possible tow. Detached trailers on any street are prohibited outright.
