Section 138-10.308.C governs recreational vehicles, snowmobiles, camper enclosures, utility trailers and boats. Paragraph C.1 bars parking or storing a unit not owned by the occupant or owner of the premises beyond 72 hours on land not approved for it, unless the building department issues a temporary permit allowing up to two weeks. Units owned by the resident and stored on their own lot may not sit in any front yard or required side yard, and must otherwise meet the zoning ordinance's setback rules for accessory buildings measured from main buildings, lot lines and rights-of-way.

Paragraph C.2 layers on further conditions: units left outside an enclosed building must be kept in proper repair and secured against unauthorized entry; storage is limited to a lot with an occupied dwelling; the unit cannot be connected to electricity, gas, water or sanitary sewer except for a temporary charging connection; and it cannot be used for living or housekeeping purposes while on the premises. Units cannot be parked or stored on public property, including streets and rights-of-way, except that paragraph C.2.f allows temporary front-yard or public-street parking for up to 72 hours for loading, unloading, trip preparation or minor maintenance, though an unmounted camper enclosure, or a snowmobile or boat not on a trailer, may never sit in a front yard, required side yard or public street even during that window.
