To qualify, the item must be owned and used by a resident of the property; parked on the swale or paved area only to load, unload, or service it, capped at four hours in a day and eight hours in a week; located in the side or rear lot out of view from the street and abutting properties, screened by a masonry wall, ornamental fence, or landscaping at Wellington's maximum permitted height; not used for living, sleeping, or housekeeping; and operative, registered, and tagged. A disabled item gets 24 hours to be removed after an emergency breakdown under subsection D(2)(a). Horse trailers inside the equestrian preservation areas are instead governed by the Land Development Regulations, not this section.
