Camarillo enforces a 72-hour street parking limit on public streets under CMC Title 11. Vehicles may not remain parked in the same location for more than 72 consecutive hours. Additional restrictions apply near fire hydrants, driveways, intersections, and in designated no-parking zones.
CMC Title 11 (Vehicles and Traffic) establishes parking regulations on public streets within Camarillo. Vehicles may not be parked on any public street for more than 72 consecutive hours without being moved per California Vehicle Code Section 22651(k). Additional restrictions include: no parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant; no parking across driveways or sidewalks; no parking in marked red, yellow, or white curb zones; and no parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection. Some residential streets have posted time limits (2-hour, 4-hour) or permit parking requirements. The Camarillo Police (Ventura County Sheriff) enforce parking regulations and can issue citations or arrange towing for violations. During street sweeping, vehicles must be moved per posted schedules. In Camarillo's many HOA neighborhoods, street parking may be further restricted by CC&Rs, with some communities prohibiting overnight street parking entirely.
Parking citations are issued by the Camarillo Police at (805) 388-5100. Vehicles parked over 72 hours may be towed under CVC 22651(k). Parking near hydrants or in no-parking zones carries fines per the city's fine schedule. Repeat violations may result in increased penalties.
