Jackson, NJ Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Section 103-6.2, added February 27, 2024 by Ordinance No. 10-24 and amended April 25, 2024 by Ordinance No. 16-24, bars parking, stopping or standing within 50 feet of any intersection in Jackson Township where a Township roadway meets a county road, as listed in the chapter's attached Schedule A. The rule applies to the side of the roadway approaching the identified intersection, closing off the sightline area drivers need at a county-road crossing. Between 51 and 100 feet from that same intersection, parking is permitted only to residents holding a Township permit; a separate § 103-10.1 (Permit parking only) lets any resident within and contiguous to that designated area apply to the Municipal Clerk for up to two parking permits per residence, entitling two vehicles to park in the 51-to-100-foot zone.

No permit parking of any kind is allowed directly on the county roadway identified in Schedule A, only on the Township roadway approaching it. School buses and school vehicle Type I or Type II, as defined in N.J.S.A. 39:1-1, are exempt from both the 50-foot prohibition and the permit requirement. Chapter 103's 2024 penalty amendment, § 103-6.1A and B, states that a violation of any provision of the chapter is punished by a fine of $250 per day for a first offense and $500 per day for a second or subsequent offense, or imprisonment not exceeding 90 days, or both, at the court's discretion.
