Stonecrest Code § 17-136 makes it unlawful to stop, stand or park a vehicle at any place where parking has been prohibited by ordinance and marked with official signs, except when the stop is necessary to avoid a traffic conflict, is required by law, or follows a police officer's direction or a traffic-control device. The same section bars moving a vehicle that is not under the driver's lawful control into a prohibited area, or leaving it parked farther from the curb than the distance the chapter allows.

Subsection (c) ties enforcement to a schedule at section 17-362 listing the specific streets where parking is banned outright. Section 17-137 adds a citywide numeric floor that applies even on streets without no-parking signage: no vehicle may be left parked in a manner that leaves less than ten feet of roadway width open for the free movement of traffic, a rule aimed squarely at cars parked so close to the opposite curb or to another vehicle that through traffic cannot pass. Because Chapter 17 requires the public works department to erect signs before any parking time limit or prohibition takes effect, and requires at least one sign per block face where parking is restricted, a driver cannot be cited under § 17-136 for a street segment that lacks the required signage, though the ten-foot clearance rule in § 17-137 applies regardless of signage since it is a direct prohibition rather than a signed restriction.
